Discover the mountain paradise of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in summer!
Spanning from roughly May through October, our summer safaris offer the chance to experience the seasons of spring, summer, and fall. During this time, wildlife make frequent migrations based on food supply. Throughout the spring, bears and baby wildlife are excitedly exploring their surroundings, biding their time as the snow begins to recede from the mountains. During the “dog days of summer,” temperatures are consistently pleasant, making outdoor expeditions both comfortable as well as exciting. As the leaves begin to change, temperatures drop slightly as cool breezes sweep across the valley. Wildlife begins to prepare for the winter as elk, moose, and other ungulates engage in the rut, or mating season. Bears, as well, begin to feed on ripening berries as many birds begin their fall migration. These are all patterns that our guides have observed year after year, giving you optimal chances of finding wildlife and stunning landscapes on your journey.
