About the Trip
Unbeknownst to many, Grand Teton National Park is home to well over 200 different bird species in the spring, summer, and fall seasons. Migratory birds from all over come to breed and spend warmer months in the valley of Jackson Hole and the Teton Mountains. Led by your expert avian guide, you’ll explore the birding hotspots in search of both the common and rare birds in the area. Hoping to see a specific species of bird? Let your guide know and they’ll do all they can to help you find it, while also identifying as many others along the way as possible.
Heading out for a sunrise trip, we’ll catch the birds at their most active as we visit the most reliable locations to see them in action. Keep your list handy as we rack up the numbers of the species we see!

What Kinds of Birds Will We See?
As with any wildlife, it’s hard to guarantee seeing any particular species of bird or animal. However some of the more frequent common players in the summer months are American white pelicans, western tanagers, violet-green swallows, spotted sandpiper, cinnamon teal, and cedar waxwings, among many, many others.
In terms of the rarer and uncommon birds we have a possibility of seeing, the list includes, but it certainly not limited to, great gray owls, white-faced ibis, golden eagles, and lazuli buntings.
