Private Grand Teton Photography Tour

About the Trip

Capture the jaw-dropping landscapes of Grand Teton National Park with a professional photographer as your guide. Our guide, Mike Cavaroc, has been frequently published and is an award-winning nature photographer. On your tour he’ll make sure you understand how to use your camera so that you’re able to capture both the wildlife and landscapes of this area, as well as how to optimize the remainder of your trip for the best encounters. As an extra point, all the photos on this website were taken by him.

The tour is catered to your interests, whether it be wildlife, landscapes, night skies (sunset option only), or all of the above. You’ll come away with a solid understanding of how to take better photos.

What do I need to bring on my photography tour?

You’ll need to bring your own camera gear plus layers for potentially changing weather. If you’re choosing a sunrise option, we’ll get an extra early start to take advantage of first light on the Teton Mountains. Even in the middle of the summer, before the sun comes up (or after it sets for evening tours), there’s a noticeable temperature difference that will make you glad you brought a jacket. And since we’ll be focusing on photographing subjects rather than a brief observation of them, you’ll want to be comfortable in chillier temperatures. Similarly, we’ll keep you posted of any weather patterns that might call for a rain jacket. (You can’t photograph a rainbow with some rain!)

In terms of camera gear, an ideal setup would be a camera body, a telephoto lens, a wide/mid-range lens, and a tripod.
